Passages of Evolution Tour
Cycling to the end of the world:

From Ushuaia, the "most southern city of the planet", we cycle along the Beagel Channel and then through the wide open lands of Tierra del Fuego along the Traits of Magellan. On the mainlands of Patagonia we will cycle on to Punta Arenas in Chile and onwards to Puerto Natales. Here we reach the area surrounding the huge glacier Campo de Hielo Sur. We will visit tha fantastic Chilean National Park Torres del Paine and continue to the Perito Moreno and Fit Roy in Argentina.

Following the traces of Darwin and the creation of the species as well as the fromation of our planet, this tour will be accompanied by two local expert guides, one being an expert in geology and one in evolutionary biology. Druing the tour we will learn about the many geological phenonema that we pass. 3T Exploro

The Bike:

For cyclists, included in the price is a 3T Exploro Team rental bike. This adventure bike is perfect for riding on asphalt as well as gravel roads.
The bike is equipped with Shimano Ultegra Di2 (RX) and hydraulic disc brakes. Gearing will be 50/34 with a choice of 11-30 or 11-34T.
For each bike we will bring two sets of wheels. One 700c wheel-set with 28mm road tires (Continental Grand Prix GT or equivalent) and one 650b wheel-set with 54mm gravel tires.
These wheels and tire options allow us to ride on any road surface and quickly change the bikes from asphalt to a gravel set-up. Changing the wheels takes about two minutes and most importantly, does not change the rider’s position on the bike or the riding characteristics. This is unique and makes all the difference for this kind of bike tour!

Patagonia Explorers

Activities for Explorers:

Explorers (non-cycling travel companions) will enjoy an independent and customised program with their own vehicle and guide. We offer diverse options for explorers including visiting geological and archeological sites, natural parks, local craft shops, and other unique sights along the way. Hiking options exploring the flora and fauna of the region are also offered.
As the group of explorers is small—participation is limited to between 2 and 5 explorers—we will design the final program specifically with your personal interests in mind. As an explorer, you will receive a survey about possible activities before the tour. In addition, we suggest to meet you via video-conference before the tour to further understand your interests and needs.
