Tradition
Cycling is deeply roted in this region: For nearly 100 years traditional races such as the semana-Catalana and the Volta Catalunya have talken place here. The terrific Steep-Coast is the scene of one of the classic stages of the Vuelta de España. Many of the most renowned cyclists have choosen to live and train in Girona: Lance Armstrong, George Hincapie, and Levi Leipheimer.
