Blue Route: 845 Kilometer / 525miles, 18000 m climb / 59000 ft climb, 8 stages and one rest day.

Highlights:

1. Col d'Aubisque (1709m / 5607 ft) 2. Col du Tourmalet (2115m / 6938 ft) 3. Col d'Aspin (1489m 4885 ft) 4. Col de Peyresourde (1568m / 5148 ft). For 2009 the route will be modified in comparison to the above profile. The tour will be easier and one of the rest days will be droped. You will be able to find a new profile here in march 2009.

Service & Price

10 nights in a double room with half board and route snacks, support car with luggage transport and technical-moral support, detailled Route-Cards and GPS-rent-unit. Participants: between 6 and 12 persons. Closing date: 10 weeks prior to the tour. Price: 1295,00 € in a double room, Single room supplement: 250,00 €.

Start and finish

The Central Pyrenees Tour strts and ends in Tremp, about 200 km / 124 mi northwest of Barcelona. It is possible to leave your bike-box and/or car here for the duration of the tour.

Arrival and departure Tremp

To reach Tremp without a car you have the following possibilities:
1) We offer a bus transfer: Girona-Tremp-Girona. On the arrival day (20. August 09) the bus will leave the airport/train station around 3PM. The bus will bring you back to Girona from Tremp on the 30. August 2009. We expect to arrive in Girona around 2 PM. Depending on the number of participants the price including both ways, luggage, and bike transportation will be between 100,00 und 180,00€ per person. Exact times will be set after consulting all participants. Driving time about 3:30 to 4 hours for each way.
2) There is a train connection from Barcelona via Lleida to Tremp. The trip takes about 3 hours and costs about 45 € per person for each way.
