Tour concept

The main purpose of this tour is to experience by bike the breathtaking natrual monumantes surrounding the Provence region. On small, well paved roads through gigantic nature! We start the tour with a relatively short stage (82km, 1350m climb). This tour brings us from the  Cote d’Azure into the hinterland. The second stage (113km, 2560m climb) will take us through the vast Verdon canyon. There are possibilities to shorten this stage if you prefer to save your energy. The third stage brings us to the foot of the famous Mont Ventoux. Here we spend our rest day in a very nice hotel with a large garden and pool. It is also possible to go for a stroll in the beautiful southern french village Sault. The fourth stage (108km, 1790m climb) is dedicated to climbing the Mont Ventoux and then decending into the famous wine region Côte du Rhône. The fifth stage (118km, 2260m climb) will take us through the natrual park of the Ardèche canyon. The final stage (97km, 1630m climb) takes us through the natrual park of Cevennen and ends in the beautiful french village of Anduze.

A coment about the tour price: This tour is 400€ more expensive than our one-week Central-Pyrenees tour. Our services are the same. The difference in price is solely determined by the fact that the hotels and dinners in this popular tourist region are more expensive than in the more remote Pyrenees. We want to offer you at least the same standard as on our other tours. Beynd this, we of course want you to taste some of the many marvelous speciality dishes offered in this region. We have selected nice and well run, small hotels that slo offer excellent dinners.

During the tour your bike-case will be stored and brought to where the tour ends. There, you may repack your bike in the evening before the departure day.
